About the role

Each year, AMOG seeks high‑performing engineering graduates to join our Perth office. Successful applicants will commence in February and participate in AMOG’s structured 2‑year Graduate Program, designed to develop well‑rounded consulting engineers through hands‑on project experience, mentoring, and professional development.

Graduates will rotate through key areas of our business, gaining exposure to complex engineering challenges across the energy, resources, and infrastructure sectors.

Position Title: Graduate Engineer

Location: Perth, WA (Hybrid / Office‑based)

Employment Type: Full‑time (Two-year Graduate Program)

Business Unit / Team: Safety & Risk, Structural Engineering, Marine Engineering
 

Key Responsibilities

As a Graduate Engineer at AMOG, you will:

  • Participate in structured rotations across Safety & Risk, Structural, and Marine Engineering disciplines
  • Support the delivery of engineering analysis, design, and advisory services to clients
  • Assist with technical calculations, modelling, documentation, and reporting under supervision
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams and contribute to innovative engineering solutions
  • Apply lateral thinking to solve complex engineering problems
  • Engage with internal stakeholders and, where appropriate, external clients
  • Maintain accurate records, calculations, and technical documentation
  • Contribute to research and development (R&D) projects
  • Comply with AMOG’s policies, procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering with strong academic results
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and rotate across different engineering disciplines
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes

Desirable

  • Previous internship, vacation work, or industry experience
  • Exposure to engineering consulting or project‑based environments
  • Interest in offshore, marine, structural, or safety and risk engineering
  • Involvement in university projects, research, or engineering societies
