About the role

AMOG is growing rapidly and we have a number of opportunities for engineers at all levels, to join our teams in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Canberra. The AMOG Systems Safety and Risk team provide Systems safety and risk assessment services to the Defence, Process and Infrastructure sectors.

Position Title: Defence System Safety / Risk Engineer

Location: Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth VIC (Hybrid/Office‑based)

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Essential

Professional engineers with 3+ years experience in one or more of the following areas
- Ability to perform role requirements effectively and accurately
- Previous ADF experience
- Systems Engineering
- Safety and Risk Engineering
- Functional Safety Engineering
- Process Safety
- Technical Risk Management

Important: Applicants must be eligible to hold an Australian Security Clearance.

Desirable

Previous experience in a similar role or environment
Additional certifications or professional development
Experience working in team‑based or project environments
